Grant brings even more depth, emotion and color to her ever expanding world of ancient battles and immortal warriors in this first full-length novel of the Dark Kings. The stakes are ominously high in this installment, challenging the compelling main couple and raising the bar for future installments. Though packed with all the wonderful sizzle and chemistry fans have come to expect from Grant, the motivation that drives each character isn’t always clear, making this increasingly complicated saga a little difficult to follow, especially for readers just beginning the series.
Though his hatred of humankind has been simmering for nearly 1200 years, Dragon King Kellan finds himself inexplicably attracted to an alluring stranger — a stunning MI-5 agent who manages to find her way into his cave. Denae Lacroix has devoted her life to her career, but when her fellow operative turns on her, she finds herself at the mercy of the Dragon Kings and hunted by the dark enemy that has sworn to destroy them. Denae is convinced that Kellan wants nothing to do with her, but all it takes is one searing kiss to open a whole new world of desire and danger that could change the world of the Dragons forever.
