AS DARKNESS FELL
by Joanna Wayne

Genre: Series

RT Rating

In AS DARKNESS FELL (2), Caroline Kimberly, a teacher turned reporter, rents a lovely old haunted house in a small town in Georgia and falls in love with its secrets and stories. But she discovers she's being stalked by a serial killer and turns to detective Sam Turner for protection. Sam carries the guilt of having lost a victim to this killer and is determined to keep Caroline from becoming the next target. Joanna Wayne's take on a classic plot starts out promising, with the added elements of small-town ambiance and a haunted house, but falters in its execution. The plot ends up less than engaging and lack-ing in suspenseful twists and turns.
