Brown’s latest novel is a feel-good read. The vast amount of characters and plotlines can be a distraction from the main love story, but Brown still manages to write a romance worth reading.

Lizelle Hanson is thrilled to be putting down roots after living and working the carnival life. Her neighbor is none other than Raylen O’Donnell, an old childhood sweetheart and one of the hottest cowboys in Texas. Lizelle becomes torn between her old, gypsy-like lifestyle and settling down, but she just cannot stay away from the irresistibly sexy cowboy. (SOURCEBOOKS, Oct., 384 pp., $7.99)
