Greeting-card artist Wollie Shelley is back with another moving-at-the-speed-of-light crime adventure. Witty and hysterically funny, the story flies so quickly that you willingly suspend disbelief. While the characters are many, they are so vividly drawn that there's no confusion. Wollie is a wonderful character, trying always to do her best in impossible situations. Fans of Jennifer Crusie and Janet Evanovich will thoroughly enjoy the ride.

The FBI forces Wollie to take a job as a social coach for a company that grooms foreign celebrities for the American media if she wants to keep her mentally ill brother at the halfway house he's doing well in. It seems they're investigating company owner Yuri Milos for media piracy. When Wollie meets the improbable group of clients she's supposed to be smoothing into media personalities and they have many characteristics of lovable hit men, she gets nervous. Then a dead body shows up and, before long, Wollie has trouble remembering who she's supposed to be -- and maybe what side she wants to be on. (BROADWAY, Mar., 336 pp., $24.95)
