When Jason Parker ran away after his twin brother died in a drunken driving accident the night of their high school graduation, he left behind his family and the girl he loved, Lila Sullivan. Returning home as a successful songwriter almost nine years later, Jason
finds it wasn't just Lila he left behind. Determined to win back a now-engaged Lila, he wages an all-out assault on her emotions. Linda Barrett does a great job building emotional tension in The Daughter He Never Knew (4). Her characters are so real in their uncertainty that she leaves the reader rooting for a happy ending between Jason and Lila.
