Feline breed Dawn Daniels' childhood was filled with rape and torture, until she was rescued. Then a decade ago, wealthy human breed supporter Seth Lawrence triggered her mating heat. But he was warned that she wasn't emotionally ready for mating, so he had to wait for Dawn's awakening.

Ten years later, Seth's life is threatened, so the Breeds send a team headed by Dawn to protect him. When this almost-mated pair is forced into close proximity, can they fight both an assassin and their passion for each other? (BERKLEY SENSATION, Feb., 304 pp., $7.99)
