A DAY LATE AND A BRIDE SHORT
by Holly Jacobs

Genre: Series, Harlequin Superromance, Current Series Imprints

RT Rating

Elias Donovan wants a partnership in Wagner, McDuffy and Chambers
but needs to show the conservative partners that he's a family man. Sarah
Jane Madison needs a lawyer to get her struggling business off the ground. Sarah comes to Donovan for help and ends up accepting his crazy proposal if he handles her case. It seems like a fair exchange, until Sarah falls in love with The IceMan. A sweet take on the standard engagement of convenience story, A DAY LATE AND A BRIDE SHORT (4.5) weaves in a family legend, making this a beautiful and sweet love story. Holly Jacobs presents wonderful characters. I was sad to see this one come to an end. Jacobs presents a clear and believable backstory, so there is no "oh-isn't-that convenient" feeling to the protagonists' choices.
