Grace’s third installment of the Deadly trilogy is addictive, with a spooky quality that will keep readers turning pages all through the night. Although there are some minor crime-procedural flaws, and Jennifer’s romance with partner Blake is nearly secondary to the serial killer plot, this suspenseful novel is absolutely worth every second of your time.

Detective Jennifer Brennan is on the hunt for a serial killer who is compensating for his troubled childhood by befriending beautiful young women, then luring them to their deaths. Jennifer is intent on catching the criminal after having survived her own abduction several years ago. When Jennifer’s boss assigns her to work with a new partner she happens to be hopelessly attracted to, Jennifer has to make sure she continues to focus on the job at hand, and nab the serial killer before he strikes again — and hurts those closest to her.
