Book Review

Genre: Inspirational, Mystery/Thriller/Suspense

RT Rating

The second book in the Crossroads Crisis Center series is full of fast-paced excitement. The story suffers from too much telling of backstory rather than showing, as well as an overwhelming number of characters who are difficult to keep straight. However, the plot is thrilling and will keep readers quickly turning pages until the dramatic conclusion.

Lisa Harper’s life is getting back on track as she gets her medical license and will finally be able to rescue her mother from an abusive marriage. But before that can happen, her mother is brutally attacked and Lisa is kidnapped. Who is behind this sinister plot, and can Lisa’s boyfriend, special forces officer Mark Taylor, help rescue her?
