Even supernatural creatures go on vacation, and reading about them is an excellent way to spend your own time at the beach. Satisfaction is guaranteed in 13 fantastical stories by some of the genre’s most talented and inventive writers.

The collection starts with “Two Blondes,” a new Sookie Stackhouse story from Harris. “The Boys Go Fishing” by Sarah Smith is a story about eight immortals. “Pirate Dave’s Haunted Amusement Park” by Kelner has a first-person werewolf/vampire dynamic. “One for the Money” by Jeaniene Frost is a Cat and Bones story. Lilith Saintcrow’s “The Heart Is Always Right” focuses on a gargoyle who wants to visit Bermuda. Chris Grabenstein sends his demon to the Jersey Shore in “The Demon in the Dunes.” Katie MacAlister’s “The Perils of Effrijim” features the demon Jim from the Dragon books. “Home From America” by Sharan Newman is about a group of American leprechauns at a family reunion in Ireland.
