PI Scotia MacKinnon doesnt quite trust her new client, Elyse Montenegro. She says shes being stalked but doesnt have any real proof of it. Her husband was also murdered a few months earlier, and Elyse claims the stalker and killer are one and the same.

When Elyses best friend, driving Elyses distinctive car, is killed, Scotia realizes that she may indeed have a stalker. Further investigation shows that Elyses late husband, an attorney involved in working for minorities, is one of several attorneys who were murderedand all worked for the same causes. Soon, Scotia has a case of a lifetime as she uncovers
a nationwide conspiracy.
