The second book in the Bargain Hunters series is filled with humorous characters and situations. Some of the events border on far-fetched, but the overall mystery is interesting. Readers should delight in the quirky storyline.

Ginger and Earl Salinski, along with the Bargain Hunters girls, travel to Nevada to attend the Invention Expo. But the hotel is overbooked with inventors and a squirrel lover's convention; the proprietor is sidetracked; and other strange things are happening. When a man in a teddy bear costume ends up murdered, can Ginger and the gang discover what really happened? (MULTNOMAH, Jan., 304 pp., $12.99)
