Set in the lush Caribbean and Carolinas of 1745, this novel captivates from the start. The protagonists are perfectly matched and the other characters are well written. Connor’s brother from Secrets of Sin figures prominently. The sex is super-hot with a BDSM theme.

The victim of betrayal and deceit, Jaidyn Donelly desperately needs to reach Georgetown. Her only method of paying for passage is to barter her body. Ship captain Connor O’Driscoll falls in line with Jaidyn’s offer; in fact, he shops for special items he wants for the dark sin he has in mind for their journey.

Although reluctant at first, Jaidyn proves an apt pupil who succumbs to his ministrations. Neither realizes that the passion of their lovemaking is leading to deeper feelings until it is too late, for both have secrets that will keep them apart. As they near Georgetown, they realize they must fight to stay together. (APHRODISIA, Dec., 320 pp., $14.00)
