Genre: Inspirational, Historical Romance

RT Rating

There is never a dull moment with Connealy, and the second book of her Wild West Weddings series starts out with a bang and never lets up. Expect romance, villains, a lost city of gold, laugh-out-loud humor — and, of course, expect the unexpected.

Grand Canyon, 1881: Shannon Dysart wants to find a lost city of gold to prove her father wasn’t crazy. She hires a group of guides to help her, but they attack her and leave her stranded in a cave, bent on retrieving the gold for themselves. Drifter Gabe Lasley rescues Shannon, and is not only compelled to continue to protect her from the villains, he’s forced to marry her by a head-headed preacher. It’s a race for the gold, but Shannon and Gabe may just find another treasure: love. (BARBOUR, May, 320 pp., $12.99)
