Battling a fatal fire brings memories of a terrible prom night accident crashing down on firefighter Erin DeLuca. She meets Nate Walker in a bar, seeks oblivion in his arms and slips quietly away in the morning. The resulting pregnancy stuns Erin -- she'd believed herself infertile. It's almost as big a shock when pyrotechnics expert Nate suddenly turns up in Troublesome Gulch. Nate wants to be with Erin and be a father to their baby, but first she must let go of the past. Lynda Sandoval's Deja You (4) has several familiar elements to it, but its plot and conflict are strong, and the characters are developed nicely.
