Sensuality: HOT

RT Rating

A great addition to the Guardian series, with enough backstory to bring new readers up to date. Brook’s characters leap from the page. Deacon is the perfect hero, tortured but worthy, and Rosalia is just the woman to save him. Chemistry and sizzling love scenes add to the plot.

Three centuries ago, Rosalia was living in Florence when her father and brother were corrupted by demons and tried to kill her. Saved, she chose to become a Guardian, to protect humans from demons.

Vampire Deacon lost everything to a demon and wants revenge. He’s betrayed the Guardians before, but Rosalia needs his help. Deacon feels unworthy and refuses, but Rosalia loves him and is willing to do whatever it takes. Deacon feels the explosive attraction between them, but he believes Rosalia is only using him on her quest. (BERKLEY SENSATION, Jul., 448 pp., $7.99)

Meljean Brook just blows me

Meljean Brook just blows me away with her Guardian Series. I have always been attracted and fascinated to paranormal books about angels demons and vampires - must be my strong religious indoctrination background. I think we would all agree there are some outstanding paranormal romance writers out there and Ms. Brooks ranks right up there. Her novels are richly detailed, her characters are multidimensional and complex, and the romance is phenomenal . She has a unique perspective on the eternal struggle between good and evil. You will not be disappointed reading this series.
