Trying to do justice to three couples in one book usually means at least one is shortchanged. Not in this case. The conversations between the ladies tie these well-developed stories together, and the way each reasons out her individual relationships is well written. This is a page-turner that more than satisfies.
Best friends Jane, Suzanne and Emily visit a club that caters to “supernaturals.” Are they real or not? They meet Marcus, Jake and Damian, friends who bonded as teenage runaways, whose shared secrets may be stronger than their attraction to these ladies. But their futures all turn out to be intertwined and the fact that one of the men is a “real” demon has the potential to ruin everything. (HEAT, Aug., 247 pp., $15.00)
