Seven years ago, Kamal Aal Masood shattered her heart, and now the powers that be in their countries have decreed that Aliyah must wed the man who nearly destroyed her to prevent a war. Kamal believed the woman he loved was an immoral drug addict thanks to jealousies and a painful secret from Aliyah's past. In a relationship rife with misunderstanding, distrust and passion, Kamal and Aliyah must forge an alliance. With The Desert King (4.5), Olivia Gates slam-dunks the Throne of Judar series to an erotic, evocative conclusion that's uplifting and sexy.

The Desert King - INCREDIBLE!

Well I am at a loss for words! Only a genius can come up with such a great story and execute it with such passion and intensity.

I found the symbolism and imagery created in this story was incredibly strong. For example the scene where Aliyah shows up to Kamal's ascension to the throne in a black wedding dress at that! Black - the colour of power in Judar, the colour of mourning in the West! A double-edged sword for Kamal!

The two main characters are both strong and vulnerable in their own way. The humanity of them both is a point we can all relate to.

Just fabulous writing that I've come to expect from Olivia Gates!
