THE DESERT KING'S PREGNANT BRIDE (3) by Annie West: After finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman, Maggie Lewis is on the verge of hypothermia when Khalid invites her into the warm shelter of his arms. Abandoned by her mother and raised by a cold father, Maggie takes advantage of the security Khalid offers but flees before morning. Their night of passion leads to an unexpected pregnancy. Believing his heart was buried with his deceased wife, Khalid, now the Sheikh of Shaje, is unsettled by the feelings Maggie arouses and has to persuade Maggie that marriage is best for their child. The initial meeting of the hero and heroine is not especially creative and there's insufficient build-up to the first love scene, but the story improves once it moves to the desert.
