Losing her driver's license is more than inconvenient for free-spirited copywriter Marlee Jones—it's a disaster. Afraid to fly, she needs another way to get across the country for her best friend's wedding. The bride's solution: hitch a ride with the best man, chef Craig Brinkman. Hyper-organized Craig isn't happy but plays along. He's determined to resist Marlee—and it's mutual—but they're doomed to fail. A pity, because they'll never last in the real world, right? Cindi Myers' Detour Ahead (4) takes a classic plot and runs with it. The story is rife with insight and irony, and the characters are just plain fun.
