This series continues to enchant readers with its sense of community and the camaraderie between characters.

It’s winter in Lake Eden, Minn., and Hannah Swensen has her hands full providing refreshments at several local events, including a honeymoon send-off for Rev. Bob Knudson and his new wife, Claire. Reverend Bob’s replacement, Matthew Walters, an old friend, will take over his duties at the church for the next several weeks. But when Hannah finds Reverend Matthew in the church office dead and face down in Grandma Knudson’s devil’s food cake, she wonders what secrets the good reverend had to hide.
