A DEVILISHLY DARK DEAL
A DEVILISHLY DARK DEAL (2) by Maggie Cox: Grace Faulkner takes advantage of an opportunity to ask wealthy businessman Marco Aguilar for monetary support for an African orphanage that is dear to her heart. Past experience makes Marco wary of women’s motives, but somehow Grace’s innate goodness gets under his skin. Once their charitable negotiations conclude, Marco makes Grace another, more intimate, offer. But will their attraction persist when their holiday interlude is over? The characters are likable, but the story suffers from a contrived plot and too much backstory in the slowly moving opening chapters.
