Williamson writes about an equal match, two well-written characters struggling to bring an outlaw to justice, in this pleasant novel.
Tessa Jane "TJ" Creager has one thing on her mind: revenge. She wants to catch the man who murdered her family before he takes other lives. TJ never expected the help of U.S. Marshal and bounty hunter Jack McCay. From their initial clash of wills and lust, Jack and TJ can't ignore each other. TJ needs to keep sharp in order to catch the outlaw, but willing or not, she's going to have some help along the way. For this lonely woman, love and family will hit closer to home than she ever expected. (Samhain, Feb., 288 pp., $14.50)
