THE DEVIL'S LOVE
by Julia London

Genre: Historical Romance
Setting: England, 1825

RT Rating

Abigail Carrington sails to England to marry the man she has loved since childhood, content in the fact that he loves her as well. She sees Michael, the Devil of Darfield, as the man of her dreams: a kind, good and gentle hero and a true nobleman.

Her dreams are shattered when she meets her brooding groom and discovers that their betrothal was nothing more than her fathers blackmail scheme.

The last time Michael saw Abigail she was a hellion who tormented him. Now she is a beautiful young woman with
stars and love in her eyes. Michael hates the idea that he bartered his soul for the money to save his ancestral home and he will honor his pledge to marry Abigail,
but he does not have to love her.

The more Michael tries to push Abigail away, the more she fights
to save her dream.

This is a dazzling debut by a fine new talent. Julia London shows great promise with this tale of childhood love that grows into a mature passion. Though the pacing is a bit slow, the sensuality, endearing characters and their powerful love will carry this tale straight into your heart. SENSUAL (Dec., 384 pp., $5.99)
