the heart as well as exciting hospital drama. The suspense element seems more of an afterthought than a driving plot point, but the characters make this novel shine.
Charge nurse Erin Quinn relies on God to get her through the tough moments, but issues from her past put a damper on the joy in her life. Firefighter Scott McKenna is dealing with regrets in his own past. When Erin and Scott meet during a critical event at the hospital they are drawn to each other.
