This sequel to Craig's Divorced,
Desperate and Delicious
is another delightfully entertaining novel with
an intriguing mystery. Peopled with interesting new characters and familiar old ones, it also has its share of animal friends that add a lot of humor and warmth to the story.

One kiss from Detective Jason Dodd has spoiled writer Sue Finley for any others. Jason is the boyfriend who never was, the jerk who never called. A former foster child, Jason has learned not to care too much for anyone. Still, when Sue attracts a stalker who follows the plot of her new, soon-to-be-released murder mystery, Jason knows she needs him, and it brings out all of his protective instincts. As for Sue, having Jason around is something she wants, if only to discover why he refuses to let her get close. (Love Spell, Dec., 336 pp., $6.99)
