A wonderfully written, beautiful love story with a few sharp edges and a bunch of marvelously imperfect characters, this is one of Wiggs' finest efforts to date. It's sure to leave an indelible impression on even the most jaded reader.

For years, single mom Nina Romano has dreamed of buying the
Inn on Willow Lake -- and now, as
her daughter leaves for college, she's going to do it. But Greg Bellamy gets there first. Even worse, Greg wants Nina to manage the place for him! Furious, she refuses -- but he wears her down.

Their business relationship echoes
their personal one. When Nina begins exploring her newfound freedom to date, Greg ends up in her way. It's
not long until they become lovers, but Nina's accustomed to being alone, and life hasn't prepared her for happily ever after. Greg, however, plans to change Nina's mind -- again. (MIRA, Aug., 416 pp., $7.99)
