THE DOCTOR’S DEADLY AFFAIR (4.5) by Stephanie Doyle: This medically based story is suspenseful and exciting in both its external and internal conflict. Germaphobic Dr. Camille Larson is a brilliant surgeon but has little in the way of people skills. When two of her patients die, her belief in her medical abilities is shaken. She asks Dr. Wyatt Holladay to review the operations to see if she made any mistakes. Wyatt is attracted to Camille, but she doesn’t feel able to have a relationship. Soon someone is threatening Camille — vandalizing her car and breaking into her house. When another patient dies it becomes clear someone is killing them — and is now after Camille. Wonderfully wounded characters and edge-of-your-seat excitement make this a great read you won’t put down.
