After COMPASS agent Cate Olin is severely injured in a murder attempt, neurosurgeon Nick Sandro is called in to help with her rehabilitation. Nick and Cate have known each other most of their lives and share strong feelings, but they thought they were too different to ever be together. Now their situation is dire. With Cate's powers of telepathy on the blink, these two are not only running for their lives, but from their feelings as well. Readers will be drawn to Lyn Stone's dynamic couple in The Doctor's Mission (4.5) when they realize the lengths these star-crossed lovers will go to to be together. This addition to the Special Ops series is exciting, emotional and, when telepathy is involved, there are a few surprises as well.
