Book Review

by Victoria Laurie

Genre: Mystery/Suspense/Thriller, Mystery, Amateur Sleuth, Paranormal

RT Rating

Laurie's new installment in her Psychic Eye mysteries is kept fresh by a new character -- a complete nonbeliever. He's the perfect counterpart to Abby and her sidekick Candice. The rest of the crew is the same, which is to say there's plenty of humor and adventure.

Professional psychic Abby Cooper has teamed up numerous times with her significant other, FBI agent Dutch Rivers, to solve mysteries. But Dutch has a new boss, Brice Harrison, who's sure Abby is a phony and a nutcase. Against Brice's better judgment, the FBI is once again consulting Abby on a case involving three missing teens.

Abby's intuition tells her that the teens are connected and that there will be another abduction, but Brice doesn't believe anything she tells him. Will Abby and Brice be able to work together before another teen goes missing? (OBSIDIAN, Sep., 314 pp., $6.99)
