The latest in the No.1 Ladies' Detective Agency series provides an entertaining travelogue of a safari through the Okavango Delta region of Botswana. The ladies' observations are quaint and entertaining, and Mma Makutsi's conversations with her shoes are humorously eccentric. The descriptions of the landscape and the people are intriguing, but the slow pace requires a reader with lots of leisure time.

Mma Ramotswe and Mma Makutsi of the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency are on the case again as they travel on safari in Botswana. The lodge they're staying at has had several odd happenings, including the death of a guest. The ladies put their nimble minds to the task and soon come up with a solution.
