Former psychic Marlie Keen's tranquil and healing lifestyle is about to come to an abrupt end. Six years ago while helping the police solve a kidnapping, Marlie was captured and nearly beaten to death. The resulting overload on her extraordinary senses severed Marlie's psychic talent. Then, suddenly her talent resurfaces, and Marlie is thrust into the mind of a truly vicious serial killer.

Despite reservations, Marlie contacts the police with the information in her vision. Detectives Dane Hollister and Alex Trammell are in charge of the investigation. While Dane is hostile and skeptical of Marlie's supposed "information," he is also uncomfortably aroused and intrigued by her. Determined to prove her a fraud, Dane is stunned to discover her sucess record.

From their first meeting Dane and Marlie are like cats in heat, snarling, snapping yet undeniably attracted to each other. He can not fight the lure of this enigmatic woman but as the body count increases unless Marlie's visions can unlock a vital clue, the killing spree will not end. Is Dane willing to put his lover at risk in order to trip up the killer?
