Kate Hill's fanciful romance contains beguiling characters and descriptive sex, but the plot yields few surprises.

When Terra, a member of a race able to shift from human to half-equine, shares dreams with the human Inez, they are fated to mate for life. Although Inez resists sacrificing her hard-won independence to the strong-willed Horseman, Terra is determined to claim this woman who invaded his dreams. When they mate, reality proves more electrifying than dreams, but soon unforeseen danger threatens Inez and her Dream Stallion.
