Murphy’s latest is a haunting tale of love and time travel. The connection between Phoebe and Lee is immediate and intense. Readers will love Lee and Phoebe’s story and will be fascinated by the journey to discover when and where Phoebe is from, and her connection to Lee.

When Detective Lee Crowley first meets Phoebe Wynne, she is covered with whip marks and clad in vintage colonial clothes. An orphan with no knowledge of his own past, Lee understands the confusion and pain that is swirling through Phoebe and and he is determined to find out what happened to her, especially when he feels the connection that sparks between them. With the help of his ex-wife, a psychiatrist/hypnotist, Lee and Phoebe begin their journey through Phoebe’s past as they explore the connection that burns so hot between them it’s going to leave scorch marks.
