Patrick's second entry in her Gypsy Legacy series is delightful. Her consummate storytelling runs the gamut with gripping plotlines, nonstop action and multifaceted characters. There's a wonderful love story and a conspiracy guaranteed to keep readers on their toes.

Felicia's great-grandmother gives her a ring and explains that whoever knows its significance will be her soul mate. Brand is heir to a dukedom. His stepmother arranged for him and his younger brother to be kidnapped as children so her son could inherit. Although his brother dies, Brand lives to claim his heritage and to fulfill the legend of the ring.

Caught in a compromising situation, the couple is forced to wed, despite Felicia's protests. She witnessed a brutal rape and is afraid of the marriage bed. Once wed, Brand assuages her fears, but together they face a deadly threat. Ruthless people want them killed and will go to any lengths to accomplish the deed.
