A wonderful return to Sparks’ world of vampires and shapeshifters. Caitlyn and Carlos’ story is a great addition to the Love at Stake series, and the many returning characters make this a truly entertaining read.

Caitlyn Whelan was warned by her father to never visit Romatech Industries. Yet when she receives an invitation to her nephew’s birthday party — a nephew she never knew existed — she knows she must go. What she discovers is that the sister she hasn’t seen nor heard from in six years was kept from her by lies and deception. She also finds out that creatures she thought only make-believe are real.

The vampires are hard enough to accept, but then she discovers that Carlos Panterra, whom she is strongly attracted to, is a werepanther. As for Carlos, his attraction to Caitlyn makes it difficult for him to concentrate on his main objective, to find a werepanther mate so he can assure the continued existence of his species. Eat Prey Love

Caitlyn Whelan has finally made contact with her sister, Shanna, after years of estrangement. When she visits Shanna, Cait learns of the existence of vampires and shifters when she meets her sister's new "family" at Romatech. Carlos Panterra is a were-panther who works as security at Romatech. When he meets Caitlyn, he is immediately attracted to her, but knows he is under an obligation to find a mate to perpetuate his race which is close to extinction. Caitlyn doesn't care. She knows Carlos is the guy for her and will fight for him.

This book is part of Sparks' Love at Stake series. If you've been reading the series up to this point, you know that these are light-weight paranormal romances with a lot of humor. Both the hero and heroine are very likeable and have good chemistry. The story has Carlos and Caitlyn traveling to Thailand trying to find more were-panthers. Of course, as in all of the books in the series, nothing goes as planned. My rating: 4 Stars.

Carlos Panterra is a shape sifter who is looking for a mate. He is one of the few left of his kind and is in charge of orphan shifters.

He is absolutely positive that he wants another shifter as his mate.

Fate has other things in mind. Caitlyn Whelan walks into his life. There is instant chemistry between them. However she is mortal and her father absolutely hates paranormal beings. He is in a position to get rid of them if necessary.

How are they going to deal with this situation? He needs her help in the search for more of his kind.

I enjoyed the book . However, it was a little slow paced for me at times.
