Lauren Phillips thought shed found the perfect man, but her fianci Jeff insists on taking a job in New York. Although they break the engagement, she wonders if she did the right thing. Then a new relationship fizzles and her friend pushes Lauren to go back to Jeff. Convinced that shes a failure at love, Lauren pours out her heart to an internet pen pal she knows only as KC.

As months pass she finds herself falling in love with him, but when the opportunity to meet him in person arises, she gets cold feet. A series of serendipitous events lands Lauren at a plush Hawaiian resort in the company of her unsuspecting pen pal.

In the third Glenbrook book, some of the resolution is a bit too convenient, but humorous twists and turns should keep fans turning pages. (July, 260 pp., $9.99)
