This latest Alien Huntress novel is a glued-to-your-seat kind of book. Pick it up and you won’t want to put it down. The action is hot and fast paced, but that’s not where the story shines. Showalter is a master of creating unique, fun and super-sexy characters. The banter between Victor and Ava will stick with you days after you’re done reading.

Ava Sans is a trainee for AIR, Alien Investigation and Renewal. Her last test is to capture Victor McKell, a vampire who can stop time. McKell is known for his ruthless disdain for humans — they’re nothing more than food — yet Ava is drawn to his beauty (and his unbelievable muscles). When he strikes a bargain with her, she’s unable to resist. They team up to capture an alien queen bent on infecting the planet.

Victor knows he’s perfect. Banned to the surface for freeing a neferti, he’s on the hunt for vampires who can answer his questions. When Ava walks onto his property, instead of killing her like all the other humans who dare approach, he’s intrigued and decides to use her to draw vampires to him. Yet the more they work together, the more he doesn’t want to be without her. He’ll have to manipulate time, fight an alien queen and survive Ava’s violent tendencies to prove his love.
