Book Review

THE EDGE OF IMPROPRIETY
by Pam Rosenthal

Genre: Historical Romance
Sensuality: SCORCHER
Setting: 1829 England

RT Rating

Playing with women's fantasies is a delightful pastime for Rosenthal, who's always looking for new ways to burn up the pages and keep your mind focused on characters and plot, not just her wonderfully erotic love scenes.

Popular novelist Marina Wyatt loves providing gossip for
the ton -- it only helps the sales of
her romances. It's quite fortuitous that her latest novel is being released just when news of her current lover's dismissal reaches the scandal sheets.

Then her last companion's uncle, an antiquities expert, arrives in London to appraise a collection. The scholarly Jasper James Hedges is not a man she would ordinarily consider as a lover, but he views her as a challenge. Suddenly Marina is thrust into an exhilarating adventure filled with untamed passion, intrigue and wild escapades in and out of bed. (Signet eclipse, Nov., 352 pp., $14.00)
