THE END OF FAKING IT (3) by Natalie Anderson: Carter Dodds mistakes temporary personal assistant Penny for the person stealing from his friend’s company. And then he mistakes her for a tease. But once those misunderstandings are cleared up, Penny’s curious combination of vulnerability and sexiness inspire him to mix business with pleasure. With heartache in her past, Penny shies away from serious relationships, but a temporary hook-up with Carter is difficult to resist. Although the story is overall well written, the conflict feels forced and the plot unfolds too slowly.
