Image of English Tea Murder (Lucy Stone Mysteries)

The latest in the Lucy Stone mystery series is well plotted and the descriptions of the setting blend nicely into the mystery. Lucy and her fellow travelers are entertaining characters, but occasionally their conversations about family, food, socialites and the like go on a bit too long and Lucy’s involvement in the criminal case is difficult to believe at times.

Lucy Stone’s vacation to England has a rocky start when her group’s tour guide dies from an apparent asthma attack. As the tour resumes under a new guide, Lucy suspects that the death may been a well-disguised murder. Several in her group have past affiliations with the victim, and Lucy is determined to find the motive behind the murder. (KENSINGTON, Jul., 304 pp., $24.00)
