Julie Kagawa is a master storyteller, and she makes magic again with The Eternity Cure, book two of the Blood of Eden Trilogy. This novel is filled with emotion. The fighting is fierce, the surprises are many, the characters are fully realized and the setting is so vivid that you feel you are there with Allie at every turn. Even if you aren’t normally a fan of vampire novels, this is a series you won’t want to miss.

Allie Sekemoto hears the call of her sire’s blood, and she has vowed to answer. She will do whatever it takes to rescue Kanin, the vampire that saved her and gave her a new life. Kanin is in danger from an insane vampire that has kidnapped and tortured him. In Allie's search for him, however, she comes face-to-face with the vampire Prince who wants nothing more than to see her dead. Finding in him an unlikely ally, the two set off on a perilous journey to find Kanin, and with him, the answers to the many questions they seek. With friends who were once enemies, and enemies who were once friends, Allie doesn’t know who she should trust and who will betray her. (HARLEQUIN TEEN, May, 448 pp., $16.99, ISBN: 9780373210695, 14 & Up)
