The final book in the awe-inspiring Days of Redemption series is bittersweet; it is hard to see a series end, but it’s grand to get answers readers have been waiting for. Gray is a talented writer and her well-defined characters and graceful writing bring the Amish ways to life.

Elsie Keim has an eye condition that is making her go blind, but she is not letting that stop her. She has mastered hiding how bad her eyes have gotten, as she does not want pity. She is also tired of her family thinking they know what is best for her, including how she feels about their new neighbor, Landon. When Elsie’s brother spills the beans, Landon is taken aback, as his job requires him to be gone for long periods of time. He wonders how he can take care of Elsie along with his other responsibilities. He makes a decision that will change Elsie’s future in a way neither of them expects.
