EVERY BREATH YOU TAKE ... (3) by Hope Tarr FBI special agent Cole Whittaker made the mistake of falling in love while on a case. Alex Kendall had nothing to do with his work, but she thought he was the country singer he was posing as. When he couldn't reconnect with her and tell her the truth, she thought she'd been betrayed and abandoned. Five years later Alex is working for and engaged to the CEO of a biotech company. Cole, who now runs a security company, is hired to protect Alex, who's been threatened. Alex still feels betrayed but thinks if she sleeps with Cole, she'll be able to get him out of her system. The mystery is logically weak, and the chemistry doesn't always work, but still this is an enjoyable read.
