Therapist Breena Quinlan isn't expecting a white knight to rescue her, ever—though somehow contractor Seth Tucker does, repeatedly! Scarred by divorce, they're not looking for love
when they become intimate, but despite Seth's ongoing battle with his ex-wife, Breena quickly becomes important to him. But Seth's inability to trust her hurts Breena almost as much as her ex-husband's betrayal did. Mary J. Forbes' Everything She's Ever Wanted (4.5)
is a beautiful love story with an appealing edge. Seth and Breena are multifaceted; even his trashy ex-wife is strongly motivated. The lack of a cop-out solution
to one of Breena's major issues is admirable too.
