Josey Berglund feels stuck. She's never moved from Gull Lake, Minn.; her younger sister married a man she was once interested in; and her best friend, Chase, is engaged. When Josey hears a missionary speak, she feels a gentle nudging from God that turns into a shove. Before she knows it, Josey heads off to Moscow to teach English.

Missionary life isn't what Josey imagined, though, and she wonders if she's made a mistake. And what about the now single Chase? Josey has strong feelings for him, but he's on another side of the world.

Warren's fantastic book combines humor, romance and superb spiritual insight. The first-person narrative allows the reader to really know Josey and experience life right alongside her. Filled with life lessons, this book is not to be missed. (Jun., 304 pp., $13.95)
