EVERYWHERE SHE GOES
EVERYWHERE SHE GOES (4.5) by Janice Kay Johnson: Mayor Noah Chandler is immediately attracted to Cait McAllister, the leggy blonde who has returned as the new city planner of Angel Butte, Ore., after nearly two decades away. Noah has just passed over Cait’s brother for the job of chief of police, but he is there to protect Cait when someone tries to kill her shortly after her arrival. The two get much closer as they try to figure out who is disturbed by Cait’s reappearance and why. This nicely crafted love story is given depth by the addition of a murder mystery. Johnson’s skill with character development is particularly notable, as both Noah and Cait are quite complex in their feelings and motivations.
