The heat between Kery’s main characters is molten and the rest of the story is pretty good, too. You’ll enjoy the twisting and twisted plot and root for Thomas and Sophie to stick together.
Thomas Nicasio and Sophie Gable try to ignore the desire between them, but when he is injured and runs to her, dazed and confused, the heat is turned up to full burn. Thomas stays with her while dealing with visits from the FBI regarding his father’s upcoming indictment for racketeering. Sophie worries that their relationship is a symptom of post-traumatic stress disorder and that once he is better, he will not feel the same. Thomas knows danger is lurking and he is determined to protect Sophie. When everything collides it takes all of their power to make their relationship stand. (HEAT, Dec., 340 pp., $15.00)
