This is a dark and gripping novel with excellent plot twists. Vaught handles the issue of online relationships realistically and does a good job of exposing both the allure and the danger.

Chan's social life was ruined last year, and she'll be dealing with the consequences for the rest of her life. Luckily, she has an amazing best friend and a shot at winning the regional twirling competition to sustain her. The biggest thing she's missing is romance, something she knows she won't find at her high school. Her parents are obsessively strict about Internet safety (and everything else), but meeting someone online feels like Chan's only option. Having someone special to love is worth anything -- or is it?
