This is another solid entry in the excellent Tracers series. If you like CSI and well-crafted suspense, don’t miss these books. One of the best parts is that, since each book is about a different person at the CSI lab, you don’t have to worry about reading them in order. Just read them!
When forensic photographer Maddie Callahan is mugged, her camera is stolen, too. To make it worse, the FBI shows up to question her about the mugging. They think she caught something on film that puts her in the crosshairs of a drug lord called the Doctor. Agent Brian Beckmann has been trying to nail this Doctor for months, and all he has to show for it is a trail of dead girls and no solid evidence. He doesn’t want Maddie mixed up in the case, but Maddie and her colleagues at the Delphi Center are uncovering clues. Now, if they can just survive long enough to get the evidence, maybe Maddie and Brian can partner up in other ways, too. (POCKET, Jul., 374 pp., $7.99)
